I had the pleasure of meeting Dorothy and her husband about a year ago when she booked her maternity session with me. We met at the Jetty’s in Ponce Inlet and had a sunset session there. Since then, I have been lucky enough to do several sessions with them, including a newborn session when they had their son, JJ. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that one of my images merited at the International Print Competition (IPC) through Professional Photographers of America (PPA). This image was one of JJ and his daddy that I took in the comfort of their own home (you can find it below).
Just about a week ago, I drove to their house to do a christmas session with them, where we did some pictures in front of their tree, and we also dressed up little JJ in a snowman outfit (he’s already 7 months old!) and took some adorable pictures of him in front of some Christmas lights. After that, we were supposed to drive over to the beach in Palm Coast and do some pictures of JJ there, however the weather was cold and windy, so we decided against it. I was kind of bummed out, because I have been excited for this beach session with JJ since Dorothy and I were discussing things for her to make for the session. She ended up making a really awesome wooden raft with a burlap flag that would look absolutely perfect with little JJ sitting on it.
Today, I met with them at a park in Port Orange, and we were finally able to get these pictures! I’m so excited to share these images, as well as some images from previous sessions I’ve had with them. I love photographing this family, and I’m so happy to have met them!
Check out the images from some of our past sessions as well as some from our session today! Enjoy!
